Hebrew and Jewish Studies

Morah Susan has been at the Austin Jewish Academy since 2022. Prior to AJA, she taught preschool at Chabad Austin and the Early Childhood Program for two years each. She then taught art at the Austin Jewish Academy for nine years. She has also taught Hebrew and Religious studies at Temple Beth Shalom for more than 10 years.

Morah Susan returned to the Austin Jewish Academy in 2022 to teach Hebrew and Jewish Studies. She is passionate about living a creative life which includes creating art, cooking, spending time with her daughter and sharing her passions. She loves teaching at AJA because she has always been involved in Jewish studies with children and can share her passions in an educational environment.

Morah Susan studied fine arts in high school in Tel Aviv, Israel, then graduated with a (BAFA) Fine Arts degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa.
