Second Grade Milestone: Shabbat Dinner Ceremony

Our 2nd grade students recently celebrated a
heartwarming and memorable milestone with their Shabbat Dinner Ceremony.

The evening began with the students beautifully singing traditional Shabbat songs, setting the tone for a truly special celebration.

The students then took the lead in performing the Shabbat blessings, showcasing their knowledge and confidence in sharing this meaningful tradition with their families.

Following the blessings, they put on an adorable skit to demonstrate which items are most important for Shabbat. (Spoiler alert: the answer was a delightful surprise — they’re all equally important!) The skit sparked smiles and laughter, reminding everyone of the beauty and balance of Shabbat rituals.

After welcoming Shabbat together with song, prayer, and laughter, the 2nd grade families gathered to enjoy a delicious pasta dinner. It was a wonderful time of bonding, connection, and celebration.

A huge thank you to Ms. K and Morah Susan for their dedication in coordinating such a lovely event, and to all the families for participating and making this night so special. This milestone truly brought our community together in joy and gratitude!
