Ms. Farber has been at AJA since 2019. As our school’s library teacher, she has made it a priority to help each student discover their new favorite book. Ms. Farber also serves as AJA’s 504 coordinator, and she provides individualized support to our newest English speakers.
Prior to joining AJA, Ms. Farber was a special education teacher in Eanes ISD, where she taught fifth grade and middle school. A few of our alumni might also remember that she was an instructional assistant at AJA for three years, back when she first moved to Austin in 2010.
She is grateful to be part of a community of teachers who are passionate about inspiring a love of learning in all students. When she’s not in the classroom, you might find her attempting to be crafty, experimenting with new recipes (usually unsuccessfully), binge watching bad TV with her sister, or snuggling with her dog and two cats. Ms. Farber holds certifications in Special Education and English as a Second Language, along with a degree in Elementary Education.
