Austin Jewish Academy’s PSIA Winners
Congratulations to our students!
Austin Jewish Academy students delivered an outstanding performance at this year’s PSIA (Private School Interscholastic Association) competition. PSIA is a statewide academic program that offers private school students the opportunity to compete in a wide range of scholastic events including mathematics, spelling, writing, and number sense. The competition encourages students to challenge themselves academically while celebrating curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning.
This year, seven AJA students competed in a total of 17 events and earned placements in 12 of them, an impressive accomplishment that reflects both their preparation and determination.
Sixth grader Noam B. earned 1st place in Math 6, 2nd place in Spelling, and 3rd place in Number Sense. Fellow sixth grader Eva F. took 1st place in Spelling and 2nd place in Ready Writing.
Our third-grade competitors also had a strong showing. Ari N. earned 1st place in Math 3 and Ready Writing, along with 3rd place in Number Sense. Guy A. earned 2nd place in Math, while Harel T. placed 6th in Math.
Second grader Shay G. also performed impressively, earning 4th place in both Math and Number Sense.
Thanks to their excellent results, Noam, Eva, and Ari have qualified to advance to the PSIA State Competition in April. We are incredibly proud of all of our students for their hard work, perseverance, and enthusiasm for learning.
