Application Checklist for 2026-27
Online Application Form:
Click the “Apply” button on the Admissions webpage. Create a Parent Account in the FACTS system, then complete and submit the online application form with the $130 non-refundable application fee. The Application Deadline is January 30, 2026. Later applications will be considered if space is available, including being added to a wait list.
Teacher Impressions Form:
Kindergarten-Grade 5: Within the online application, please provide the email address of your child’s current teacher. A teacher impressions form will be sent directly to them to complete online.
Grades 6–8: Within the online application, please provide the email address for both your child’s current Language Arts and current Math teacher.
Records Request:
Grade 1-8: Within the online application, please provide the contact information for your child’s current school for an academic records request. Please also upload standardized test results and/or private assessments, if available.
Student Statement: (Middle School only)
Applicants in grades 6–8 submit this as part of online application.
School Visit, Interview, and Assessment:
Kindergarten: Kindergarten applicants may be invited to spend 75 minutes in the kindergarten classroom in age appropriate learning activities as part of a Shadow Day. This will include 15 minutes for assessments. For families outside of Austin, a Zoom session may be scheduled.
Grades 1-8: Applicants for grades 1-8 may be invited to spend a half day or full day at AJA shadowing in a classroom, which may include a 30-minute interview and assessment. For families outside of Austin, a Zoom session may be scheduled.
Tuition Assistance:
Families interested in Tuition Assistance must submit their application on the Admissions webpage, including most recent tax return and W2s, by January 30. Award amounts, if relevant, will be included with decision letters. Later applications will be considered, pending funding availability. We encourage you to apply as early as possible to get a general sense of the award amount.
Admissions Decisions Sent:
Admission decision letters and enrollment materials (if applicable) will be emailed by March 6. Please note that priority will be given to siblings of currently enrolled students.
Tuition Contract and Deposit Accepted:
Accepted families must submit a signed tuition contract, pay their deposit, and create a FACTS Management account by March 20 to guarantee a spot.
