AJA Featured in The Jewish Outlook (Twice!)

We are excited to announce that AJA had two articles in the February issue of The Jewish Outlook. You can read the articles below.

The first one discusses the importance of Jewish Day Schools in the wake of October 7th and rising antisemitism:

This fall, the community marked the heartbreaking anniversary of October 7, followed by powerful Yom Kippur reflections and then a joyful Sukkot. Jewish day school education is a critical piece of a thriving Jewish community. Schools like the Austin Jewish Academy not only deliver excellence in learning, but they are fundamentally rooted in giving the next generation pride, joy, and resilience regarding Jewish identity.
In the early days after October 7, AJA provided a safe and welcoming environment for more than 20 Israeli children for several months. Thanks to the school’s Israeli staff, teachers, and students, these kids felt a little bit of home in our halls.

The second one featured a Q&A with one of our distinguished alumni, Eddie Vane:

Eddie Vane is a third-year aerospace engineering student at Purdue University and has an upcoming internship at SpaceX. On campus, he’s an active member of AEPi and part of the Purdue Space Program, working on a liquid rocket project aimed at reaching 65,000 feet. This summer, he’s interning at SpaceX’s test facility in Texas, contributing to rocket engine testing. Vane’s journey is fueled by his lifelong fascination with space and his drive to push the boundaries of exploration.
