The AJA Lions Track Team delivered an outstanding performance at this weekend’s District Track Meet at St. Stephen’s, showcasing determination, teamwork, and impressive achievements across all divisions.

The JV Boys Team placed 4th overall with 45 points, while the JV Girls secured 5th place with 25 points. The Varsity Girls Team competed with heart, finishing 6th with 20 points.

Several Lions stood out with exceptional individual performances. Catherine C. captured 1st place in shot put, demonstrating both strength and technique. Goldie Z. had an excellent meet, winning her heat in the 50 meters, finishing 3rd overall in that event, and placing 4th in the 100 meters. Addie T. earned 3rd place in the softball throw and finished 2nd in her 100-meter heat.

On the boys’ side, Jack C. had a remarkable day, winning two heats and taking 1st place in the long jump. Sam K. finished 3rd in his 400-meter heat, while Elijah Z. secured 2nd place in his 50-meter heat.

Team relays also contributed significantly to the Lions’ success. The JV Boys Relay Team—Sam K., Elijah Z., Nathan H., and Jack C.—earned an impressive 3rd-place finish. The JV Girls Relay Team placed 4th, showing great teamwork and effort. The Varsity Girls Relay Team—Aya P., Goldie Z., Catherine C., and Addie T.—competed with determination and pride.
