Robinson, Cate

Assistant Head of School

Dr. Cate Robinson has been at AJA since 2019. She previously taught as an Assistant Professor of Practice at The University of Texas at Austin for seven years. Dr. Robinson provides professional development to childcare facilities throughout the city of Austin, as well as presenting at city, state, and national conferences in the field of Early Childhood Development. She facilitated the AJA reaccreditation process through portfolio organization, adopted key curricula to ensure greater alignment and cohesion, and provides curriculum and instruction guidance to teachers through data-driven research.  Dr. Robinson loves the feel of community that AJA has established as well as the use of Project-Based Learning to enhance understanding of educational concepts. In her spare time, she can be found enjoying time with her daughters, cooking, and reading. 

Dr. Robinson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in Child Development. She earned her Master’s degree from Texas State University with a focus on Elementary Education as well as certification in ESL. She completed her Doctoral degree from Concordia University in Curriculum and Instruction.
